I am Moritz Leisen, an advertising photographer based in Berlin.

My path to becoming an advertising photographer specializing in lifestyle, portrait, and mobility photography has been anything but typical. I started out by shooting for DJs on tour across Europe on the weekends, while working toward a business and marketing degree during the week. As my focus shifted toward lifestyle photography, a new opportunity arose when I was headhunted by a consultancy. Working as a consultant helped me deepen my understanding of working strategically with clients and managing projects with structure and efficiency, which continues to benefit my work as a photographer to this day.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with incredibly talented gaffers, digital operators, agencies, film productions, and photo producers. Together, we’ve recently created campaigns for brands like KIA, Volkswagen, Siemens, ERGO, and Leibniz. I truly believe that great work comes from great teamwork, and I enjoy working alongside other creatives to bring extraordinary ideas to life.

In addition to my work, I’m a Professional and Advisory Board Member of the BFF. While most things in my life revolve around photography, I sure love good music and even better food — especially when it’s homemade.

As a photographer, I see my clients as partners in the creative process. I am often involved before the "execution phase" and help them develop the idea and concept behind a shoot or campaign by translating the core messages into a coherent visual language.
